Del Oro
High
School
has a proud tradition
of academic and
athletic
excellence
within
the community.
With a student population
of approximately 1700,
Del Oro has
nearly
1000 athletic participants each
year.
Many
of these
athletes
participate
in
multiple
sports
during
the
school
year.
The
Athletic
Department
at
Del
Oro
High
School
is
known
for producing
one ofthe
highest
quality
athletic
programs
in
our
area.
Budget cuts
have
hit
Del
Oro's
Athletic
Department.
The
reduction
in
funding
is
having
a dramatic
impact on our sports programs.
Coaches have had to make significant
cuts
to
their
budgets
and the
school is
relying
heavily
on the generosity of families
who are able to make financial
donations.
Unfortunately,
our
families
are not
able
to
donate enough
to offset
the
budget
shortfall.
The
Del
Oro Parent
Club
has
committed
to helping
our teams
and
families
by hosting
the 1st
Annual
"Love
Del
Oro
Athletics"
Online
Auction February
3 -12,2012.
The goal
of this annual
event
is
to
subsidize
our athletic
program
by raising
money
that
will
reduce
the
financial
impact on our
families
and
allow
our coaches
to
continue
producing
athletic
programs
at the
caliber
for
which
Del
Oro
is
known.
To accomplish
these goals,
the
Del
Oro
Parents
Club
is
seeking
your
donation for
items
that
can be sold
in
our
online
auction. We gladly
accept gift
certificates,
products,
services,
outings,
trips,
or any other
donations.
Shoppers
love
creative packages, experiences
or
gift
baskets
so let
your
imagination
run.
Del
Oro students are
not only
talented
athletes
but
outstanding
scholars
and
citizens
who
are
